BACKGROUND COSCEM

Center for Sustainable Campus and Energy Management (COSCEM) is the sustainability center at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP).

COSCEM was established in 2020 with the aim of increasing the effectiveness of energy use, preserving resources and improving the quality of the environment by implementing projects and programs that contribute to a healthy and conducive lifestyle. The establishment of this center is also the starting point of UniMAP's commitment to sustainability efforts including climate change. Among the aspects emphasized by COSCEM are energy, water, waste and green campus.
